About This Tour
Two nights in London to start: the full orientation tour, the London Eye and Madame Tussauds. The coach then runs north to Glasgow, breaking for lunch at Gretna Green on the border, and settles there for three nights while the Highlands and the Lowlands are worked as day trips.
One day goes to Loch Lomond and Fort William for the Nevis Range gondola under Britain's highest mountain; another to Edinburgh for the castle and the Royal Mile, with the Falkirk Wheel and the thirty-metre Kelpies on the way. The tour turns south through the Lake District for a Windermere cruise and a heritage steam train before the final night in London.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
7 DaysArrive at Heathrow and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to walk off the flight and find your bearings. Dinner is at an Indian restaurant within walking distance.
Start at the Swaminarayan Mandir at Neasden, then a full circuit of the city: Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace. The afternoon is the London Eye and then Madame Tussauds.
Check out and drive north up the spine of England, breaking for lunch at Gretna Green — the border village where eloping English couples once married under Scots law. On arrival in Glasgow, an orientation tour takes in the medieval cathedral, George Square, the University of Glasgow and the City Chambers.
North-west to Loch Lomond, the largest loch in Britain by surface area and the gateway to the Trossachs. Continue to Fort William for the Nevis Range gondola, which lifts you 650 metres up Aonach Mor under the shoulder of Ben Nevis. Photo halts at the Commando Memorial and at Neptune's Staircase, the eight-lock flight on the Caledonian Canal.
East across the central belt with a photo stop at the Falkirk Wheel, the rotating boat lift that replaced a flight of eleven locks, and at the Kelpies — two horse heads in steel, thirty metres high. In Edinburgh, the castle sits on its volcanic plug over the city, and the drive down the Royal Mile passes St Giles' Cathedral on the way to Holyrood.
Check out and drive south into the Lake District. A cruise on Lake Windermere, the largest natural lake in England, connects with the Lakeside and Haverthwaite heritage railway for a run behind a preserved steam locomotive. Continue south to London for the final night.
Take breakfast, check out, and transfer to London Heathrow for the return flight. Your tour ends here.
